Jenny McIntyre Fine Art

A native of Colorado, Jenny McIntyre has been a professional photographer for over 25 years. It was in her work with photography where she first honed her eye for artistic design: space, color and movement that were later to inspireand become so integral to her painting. Her art appreciation took her to Colorado University at Boulder where she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Classical Antiquities, the study of Classic Art and Architecture.

For nearly a decade Jenny’s been painting and developing her style. Only in the last few years has she begun to publicly exhibit her work as a fulltime artist. Jenny has juried into both the Montrose Art Show for three seasons and into Summerland Garden’s Art Fair for four seasons. She has been featured in the emerging new artists show at Hayden Hays Gallery at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs and she’s been invited to show at the Hampton Art Exhibit in Montrose for the last two years. She’s currently represented by Summerland Garden’s Gallery in Colorado Springs and by the Silver Linings Gallery in Ouray Colorado.

Having grown up on the Front Range in the shadow of Pike's Peak, Jenny has also called the desert Southwest of Santa Fe home and she currently resides on the Western Slope of Colorado. Colorado and the Southwest are her inspiration.

“Painting encourages me to explore the landscape in an expressive, personal way. The abstract designs, the dynamic colors of the Southwest all inspire me not only to record the scene but to create an abstraction of shapes and overall design. My intent is to create an interpretive view not a realistic one.”          Jenny McIntyre
